I admit I’ve been a slack ass lately with posting. I wanted some time to sort some things out for later this year and give my full attention to these events. So February and March’s drinks kind of got a little forgotten (lets pretend those two months didn’t happen). But don’t worry I’m getting back into the swing of things. So this cocktail I am excited to try out making, it doesn’t look too strong and I think i can enjoy it. Perfect timing too as its getting close to the long Easter weekend – need to survive hanging out with all the relatives…
FRENCH MIST
INGREDIENTS
1/2 oz lime juice
1/2 oz lemon juice
1 oz simple syrup
1 oz Vodka
2oz Sauvignon blanc
lemon and lime peels
Method
Add lime juice, lemon juice, syrup, vodka and ice into a cocktail shaker. Sake vigorously, Strain contents into chilled flute. Top with Sauvignon Blanc. Stir gently. Garnish with lemon and lime twists.
WHEN I TRIED IT…
This was actually really easy to make and I had all of these ingredients. BONUS! I did like the taste, I liked the citrus flavour with the wine – so refreshing. I did have fun shaking my cocktail up, I didn’t have a shakers so I just MacGyver it with a reusable coffee cup. I obviously didn’t decorate this cocktail- mostly because I had no luck trying to make the lime or lemon peel look pretty. Overall this was a good cocktail, I for sure will be making this drink again. Just a side note though if your not overly fond of strong citrus flavours maybe sit this one out.
IM OUT!!!!
