For Father’s Day this year I decided to make my dad a little something to go with his gift. I figured since I have a knack for making boozy treats and my dad is a big whiskey lover I thought I would make him something mixed up with the alcohol. My dad has his own little room in his garage where he drinks his whisky and smokes cigars. I figured this would be perfect for him to enjoy one afternoon. I had gone through so many recipes and they all seemed to not really work for me. I did use a recipe I happed to find with a simple google search and I tweaked it a little by adding pretzels and changing up a few things to get it to work best for me.
WHISKY FUDGE
Ingredients
3 cups dark chocolate chips
¼ cup whisky of your choice
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 tbsp unsalted butter- melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup crushed up pretzels (optional)
Extra Pretzels (if you want to decorate – optional)
Method
1. Place chocolate in saucepan and put on stove on low heat. Keep an eye on the chocolate and stir continuously until melted. Then remove from heat.

2. Add all the other ingredients to the melted chocolate and stir until well combined

3. Add mixture to foil lined tin (20x20cm) or loaf/cupcake mould tray (I did). Decorating to top if you like and put in the fridge for at least two hours until firm.

Enjoy!!

Apologies if Whisky has been spelt two different ways this post. My autocorrect kept changing it from the Y spelling to the EY spelling. I say this because I have pissed my dad off in the past with incorrectly spelling it. For those who don’t know USA spells it EY and Scottish use Y. I used a Scottish whisky so that’s how I spell it in regards to this. By the way it’s not just these countries that exclusively spell it this way that was the basic way he told me. I will also mention you can put this in a regular slice tray/ casserole/ baking tray – I just like to make slices in the loaf silicone trays. I find that it saves you making shitty slices and they come out as perfect individual small slices. These were obviously a little large to enjoy in one whole sitting (or some people can destroy it in one go Im not judging) but these just looked a lot more appealing to the eye. Im so happy that these worked out and my dad absolutely loved the fudge, he actually didn’t share any of it because it was so good.
IM OUT!!!
.
That looks so good I bet your Dad loved it
